Where has the time gone...

When I was pregnant one of the many things people would say amongst a whole load of other tips and suggestions is [she says rolling her eyes is] "enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast" and they were right.

As much the tips and suggestion and comments use to overwhelm me this one is true and now I'm telling you. 
Not only that I'm writing this blog! 

My reasoning behind it is mainly because there is currently a growing conversation about women having to choose between their careers and motherhood.
Why should we have to choose?

I am an architect and it took a lot of dedication and persistence to achieve. I did not want to go through life and not experience being a mother however did not want to give up my career.

​Furthermore I think it’s important for our children to see their parents working striving to achieve something. So, they have positive role models to look up to and in turn give back to society and do the same themselves.

I started this blog to add to the conversation and give my view and share my story and offer support to those who are reluctant take on a role due to their current or future family plans. 

It is possible and society and the workplace need to adapt with change in society.
